Introducing
Ms. Cheryl Blount
Ms. Cheryl Blount is on the Board of Directors of the Greater Washington Women's Network (GWWN), an affiliate of National Association for Female Executives (NAFE).
Ms. Blount is currently the Secretary and Director of Membership of GWWN. Her volunteer career experiences began working behind the scenes in September 2001.
Over the years, she was promoted from a volunteer committee member to the Board of Directors, as Director of Membership and Secretary.
From 2001 to the present, she has been committed to fulfilling the organization's mission to: advance women professionally, support community and charitable efforts, and youth development.
She has been instrumental in the leadership, strategic planning, and program management of the organization.
She is on the Steering Committee for People-4-People Employment Assistance Center in Olney, MD, and volunteers and provides onsite support for employment seminars and career fairs.
Ms. Blount also has compassion for the homeless and volunteers at a local community resource center and soup kitchen. Singing, exercise, reading educational material and travel are some of her favorite pastimes.
